As I riding the motorbike around the city, I see almost 85 percent of people using helmet while riding on the road, which is a very good sample for others people who do not using it.
However, about 80 percent of those people wearing helmet without put the helmet belt which can cause a big accident for them.
As I see on June 26, 2009, there was a small accident happened in front of me which cause by a car and a motorbike. The motor driver was wearing the helmet without put the helmet belt, and when the motor crash the car, the helmet on his hate was jump out. Fortunately, there were no car come behind him; otherwise bad thing will be happened.
This was one example for the motor driver, that should use it in the right way, or it will be like wearing nothing.
According to the new Cambodia traffic law, all the motor drivers have to wear helmet whenever they are on the road, or they will be fine by the police, because it can cause bad accident. So the police should thing whether wearing helmet without puts its belt can help or not?
In my opinion, the police should not fine the people who do not wear helmet while riding if they do not fine the people who wear helmet without put the helmet belt. It is nothing different, it both can cause bad thing to death.
